Another inspirational gift made its way to me ... a beautiful garden stone with a reminder of living life the way it should be lived.
Thursday's insertion of the medi-port went ok ... took about 4 hours to get through outpatient admitting, surgery prep, procedure and recovery. Mitch was with me all but the 1 hour I was in the operating room, so that was nice to have company. The staff at OSF has been nothing short of wonderful, knowledgeable and supportive. Always quick to offer prayers and hugs ... they are definitely working in the field where they were meant to be.
Since Drew was home on break this week we had family pictures taken by Jenny at Simply Charming Photography, and as always, she did a great job! We have lots to celebrate in 2012 so pictures were in order ... including TJ's 8th grade promotion, Drew's college graduation, and our 30th wedding anniversary. These are a few sneak peek proofs! Next week brings the first chemo treatment on Tuesday, and the battle begins. Sound the trumpets ... I'm ready.

Glad you got the port part over with. And the family pics are AWESOME! When did your kids get SO big?!?!?!
